Only if "weapons of mass destruction" means "lathes, drills, grinders, endmills, presses, etc": tons of machinery were looted
Surely if those sites and machinery were important, the geniuses running the pentagon would have secured them: Those facilities were left largely unguarded by the U.S. occupation forces in the chaotic months following the invasion.
But no WMDs were found: Araji added that the program was the U.S. key justification for invading Iraq, but occupation forces found no unconventional arms and CIA inspectors concluded that the effort had been largely abandoned after the 1991 Persian Gulf war.

Which "largely"? Unguarded "largely" enough for them to be looted, or abandoned largely enough to have produced no unconventional arms?

Both - no one will say "completely". Either there were NO unconventional arms, and NO unguarded facilities - or they were LARGELY blah blah - show me NUMBERS. How many were unguarded? 1? 2? 2234? And how many weapons sites were totally abondoned? 1? 2? 2235?
