Wednesday night I advanced through round 1 of the Johnny Malloy's karaoke contest. The winner gets $500. I seriously thought the winner got $5000... so I'm only sort-of psyched now. Oh well.
I sang a blistering rendition of "Grace Kelly" by Mika in the first round. The judges said that guys shouldn't be doing falsetto... thus missing Stim and I's modus karaoki, but whatever. I came back with a tender take on Extreme's "More Than Words" which left nary a dry lap in the joint.
Next week I think the contest is at the Johnny Malloy's at Parmatown, which used to be Houlihan's, which is where Mark worked when we were in college. Ah, those were the days.
