The Super Bowl was a pretty good game last night. The celebration afterwards with Drew Brees and his son was the best! Makes me want to hug Liam every time I see any of the pictures.
The ads were okay. There seemed to be a lot of naked men, not sure when that came in vogue. The Denny's ads were fantastic, if only for the sheer ludicrousness of them. There was a great comment on Fark after viewing the Vizio ad, in which dozens of internet memes were seen flowing into the TV: "So, Vizio created Hell?"
The halftime show sucked. I've never been sold on the Who to begin with, and the concert only confirmed my suspicion that they are incredibly boring. Roger Daltrey looks like an old woman, and Pete Townshend looks like a sexual predator (oh, wait, he IS). It's interesting how as I age, I start to realize how silly a lot of "classic" rock is. Honestly? A song about pinball?? That's one of the Holy Grails of rock? Bah. It's like when you listen to Zeppelin and realize 90% of the songs are about fairies and trees.

That doesn't bother me too much, as long as it creates something entertaining (see Oasis).
It's funny to me that the same music that the super-religious used to call out as "Devil Worship music" is about pinball or gnomes, or pinball-playin' gnomes.

Most British rockers look like women after age 60, since they try to retain some kind of a rocker hairstyle, but it just ends up making them look like an old lady. Paul McCartney, even though his haircut wasn't even all that bold, looks strikingly similar to my grandmother before she passed.
